This project critiques the framing of “care” as a public good within feminist economics, arguing that such framing unintentionally ties human worth to productivity. It proposes “social ecosystem services” as a more holistic model that recognizes inherent human value while justifying robust social investment in care. The framework reconnects care with interdependence and non-market values.
