Discarded electronic wires

Slow Circuits: A Weaving Circle

Project Description
Slow Circuits is a participatory weaving circle where participants will collectively weave a textile installation from discarded electronic wires. The process is accompanied by a facilitated discussion that explores the extractive origins of technologies, their lifecycles, and their afterlives through waste management and remediation.Through this collective practice, the workshop makes visible the material and ecological costs embedded in our technologies to examine how technology proliferation exacerbates inequities along race, gender, and class lines.
