Empty Realities, Abundant Futures is a short experimental film that is questioning the higher powers that shape our potential futures, including automation technology, shift of human to robotization changes in labor, and the understanding of the nature of work and its inevitability to construct expectations to perform as citizens. The film involves cross cutting archival footage of historical labor and animations through a series of questions, with a text to speech voice-over where the viewer muses on what a post-work future might look like through my particularly personal lens.
