Foreign Lands, Familiar Stars: Self-portaits of a Millennial Immigrant

I was born in Taiwan, raised in Hakka culture, and later educated in New Zealand and New York.

Foreign Lands, Familiar Stars is a personal statement reflecting on my experience as a millennial immigrant. Each piece of work is a disparate response to the delicate questions I am asking. These responses took on a variety of forms including writings, videos, maps, virtual realities, and beyond.

My internal monologue is the emotional raw materials. The streams of consciousness style of writing harnessed the rapid internal iterative process.
