Project Numen

Project Numen uses computational technology and generative design, combined with the aesthetics of floral forms, to reveal the intricacies of floral phenotypes. Offering a view into a parallel natural world in virtual space, the presence of beauty is juxtaposed with the challenging reality of the Anthropocene effect on natural environments. In this project, I imagined five different species of future plants, which could cope with related environmental problems. The design of each species employs algorithmic strategies and procedural modeling techniques to construct unique aesthetics, and convey my imaginations for the future.
