Community Land Trusts are a growing movement and effective alternative to the overpowering private real estate market. The COVID-19 pandemic has exposed the fragility of the housing markets and their declining public housing options. Organizers and activists have rallied behind the Community Land Trust model to build housing equity and sustainable community ownership over land.
This panel discussion brings together Community Land Trust organizers operating in New York City to share their experience and insights on this grassroots model for affordable housing.
