City Speaks is a curated series of events that showcase diverse practices undertaken by citizens, community groups, community organizers, nonprofit organizations, urbanists, housing experts, and local politicians who are transforming communities, neighborhoods, and cities. This program involves lectures, panels, and conversations in communities and at The New School.

FILM SCREENINGS

Critical documentary film screenings aim to create awareness of processes of neighborhood change and community organizing in cities. Featuring past and current cases, film screenings seek to promote dialogue among students, researchers, faculty, activists, community organizers, urban experts, and citizens who are committed to the production of just cities. Each documentary film is followed by a discussion.
