First Year Student Workshop: Wire Sculpting

This workshop, with Parsons faculty member Rodger Stevens, will introduce students to the basics of working with wire as an artistic medium. Students will create suspended, free-standing, and kinetic sculptures using simple techniques and materials, and learn about the various materials and tools one can utilize in this versatile art form. Students are encouraged to bring 16 gauge annealed steel wire available at most art supply and hardware stores, or Home Depot. Rodger will have needle-nose pliers and some materials to share!
