Photo Documentation Workshop: Photograph your artwork in the best light

Faculty member Isaiah Winters will be hosting a workshop for First Year students on Tuesday, October 29th.

In this workshop, students will learn how to document their artwork using smartphones and mirrorless cameras, focusing on key photography concepts like lighting, composition, and framing. Through hands-on demos and exercises, students will pick up practical skills to improve the quality of their photos and leave with a better understanding of how to showcase their work in the best light. The session also covers which equipment students should check out from the Making Center to elevate their documentation for things like social media, learning portfolio updates and personal websites.

Note: This workshop has a maximum of 12 participants, please RSVP as soon as possible to secure your spot before the workshop reaches capacity. If you have RSVP’d and cannot make it, please e-mail Isaiah Winters of your absence. This would open up a space for another student who would like to attend.
