The “Up-cycling Project” I designed for Space and Materiality class fits with the assignment concept and idea of transferring the waste materials, useless, or unwanted products into new materials or products of better quality and environmental value. I collected used Nespresso Capsules as a relevant material with the assignment and transform them into a neckless. My intention to make a functional product with waste material meets with the concept. In terms of the process, I had some challenges such as limited resources and materials due to COVID 19 pandemic. These challenges forced me to challenge my creative and problem-solving skills.
