Falling

Class of: 2024

Major: Fine Arts BFA

Medium: Digital art piece

Faculty: Ruth Liberman

Prompt: Without a preconceived story, you will develop a (likely absurd) narrative, composed of separate panels, similar to a storyboard. But instead of having a story in mind and finding fitting images and text, you will allow the “story” to develop from panel to panel, without having a goal in mind.

I wanted this piece to be a reminder to those who are going through a hard time, to remember that we are stronger than we think we are and we need to be kinder to ourselves in the process of healing and growing. I chose to also use the found texts in the shapes of clouds to create more depth in the piece as well as reinforcing the idea of positive reinforcements and thoughts we need to put in place ourselves.
