Prompt: We were told to research an art and design topic or skill we were interested in and create a work demonstrating my understanding and interest in that idea. The idea was to be utilized in our own original piece.

I wanted to capture how ridiculous it is for a numerous amount of people in society today to be wearing masks incorrectly, putting both them and people around them at risk. Using anthropomorphism, I gave a balloon the features of a human and included four different ways people would wear masks wrong on the balloon. Of course, most of those weren’t actually how people wore their masks incorrectly, but it captured how ridiculous it is. I wanted the poster or visual to make people laugh because of how ridiculous it is. In this piece, I gave purpose to several of its features. The balloons were green to represent the ongoing virus and how wearing a mask wrong would get you infected. The word “airhead” is only an outline to really capture the meaning of “airhead.” I just thought this was a good way of expressing a message so important today.
