Copy of Master - Rembrandt
Prompt: A master copy project, instructed to choose one artist’s piece as a guideline to navigate ourselves on a traditional painting methodology. Our goal was to use constant layers of paint including the base-painting premature layer, along with the white scumbling to mimic the past ideas.
A master copy project of a self portrait of Rembrandt (1636) using the traditional method of painting. Used primary colors, black and white for color mixing, charcoal gesso with rabbit skin glue on a equilateral sized wooden panel.
