Prompt: Reimagine the structure and aesthetic of Times Square in a different context than New York City.

I chose to depict Times Square if it were on a planet with a completely vertical rotational axis. This would mean that one side of the planet would always be facing the sun and the other side of the planet would always be facing deep space. The sun side would always be scorched and melting and the space side would always be frozen and extremely cold. I’m really interested in the concept of duality/dichotomies and this concept is a consistent theme in most of my work. My main inspiration for this piece came from my research about the planet Saturn, which has an almost vertical axis. This piece was created through both hand drawing and digital manipulation.
