Prompt: Creating a head/bust sculpture.
Human bust sculptures encircle as they lean their heads toward one another. On is about codependency, especially playing a pun with a form of indebted gratitude in Japan called ‘on’ (恩). The concept of having to repay for kindness parallels with codependency that I often see in small communities. We rely on, depend on, and lean on one another. On is about the closely knitted circle that is mostly a blessing – but at times can also be a burden. How you see the sculpture is up to you.
