This project allowed me to explore my childhood interactions with the land in my hometown – Vancouver Canada. The land in Vancouver in recent years have been severely damaged by oil spills and forest fires. I want to create awareness to the public about preserving the land before it is too late. This project gave me the opportunity to design for a problem in a field of art that is unique and special to me. I chose to use nail art as a medium for the projects because I have always loved doing nails, but never attempted to create art with it until this project. I believe that this project started a opportunity for me to continue on further projects using nail art as a medium.
