Prompt: The prompt was to analyze a work we saw on an independent museum visit and connect it back to topics from the class.

I wrote about Madame Grand by Louise Vigee le Brun, which I saw in the MET. I chose to analyze this piece for its aesthetic qualities as well as the fact that it was done by a female artist in 1783. I connected it to works from the Baroque period.
