Prompt: In this Bridge 1 project, we will use your personal landscape as source material. Some of our inspiration will be drawn from lived experience, while other elements of your project may be drawn from family lore, dreams and goals, fantasy, or other augmentation.
Throughout this artwork, I wanted to present the idea of how we could protect ego or identity with an “inner skeleton”. Since the material and form were inspired by human bones but the whole shape is created based on a scorpion’s tail, I wanted to showcase my idea by combining both ideas of how robust and rigid the scorpion’s tail is and the human interior structures. As for the materials and shape I had used for this project, it is created with clay and wire, molded into the shape of bones and connected with wire.
