The Deck of Question
Prompt: Create a deck of cards with handmade elements based on a list of 52 words describing yourself, academics, your concerns, New York City, etc.
I chose to use a comic art style for my deck of cards to focus on the illustration aspect of each word. However, I still tried to add text and an element going out of the box for each card. The illustrations and inking were time consuming, but I learned about time management and creating an efficient workflow throughout the production process. For the back of the cards, I painted on a masking tape stencil and used it as a “block” to block print on all 52 cards. Finally, I created a net and folded it together to create the card box.
