Prompt: The "Wearable Art" project aims to create a visually stunning and one-of-a-kind wearable art piece by utilizing the Bristol board as the primary material and implementing tessellation as the vital technique. The project aims to combine artistic expression with precise geometry, leading to a captivating wearable art piece encouraging discourse about the interrelation of art, geometry, and fashion.

The patterns I used for this project take much inspiration from snake scales and skin, as I wanted my piece to resemble a snake shedding its skin. Snakes shedding their skin is often associated with growth, transformation, and new beginnings, so this piece is a representation of my time so far in university. My choice of taking snakes as inspiration was also influenced by this year’s Chinese zodiac, the snake. Like how they shed their skin, the Year of the Snake represents renewal and personal growth.
