Never Ending Game
Prompt: Make a structure using polyhedron shapes without using glue.
With limited space of 4×4 chessboard, I chose to create one pair of knights only, as knight looks the most aesthetically appealing. These knights are placed at the end of the board respectively and placed this way, they will never be able to touch each other. This is also the reason why I decided to make a pair of knights instead of any other important pieces in the chess game because knights have the most restriction in the way they move. I wanted people who view my art to stop and actually think how the pieces will move on the board and really calculate if they will ever touch each other one day. Because the board is so small and there are only two pieces, people will easily assume there will be a possibility that the two end up in the same space although they do not. This is the hook and once people grab that hook they will have to stay and engage with my piece. In conclusion, this was my no-glue polyhedron paper sculpture, “Never Ending Game.”
