Paper Roses

Prompt: In this project, students will create wearable artwork that uses the human form and fashion to explore their understanding of the various identities they inhabit.

“Paper Roses” is a wearable artwork that illustrates an alter persona Sophia, my assigned project partner. The piece portraits the personality that one’s hiding it under what she’s trying to show to the society. I want to illustrate the contrast between what an object looks like with what it is actually made of. Here, paper is easy to get wet, damaged, or teared. However, this feeble material is used to make a strong and protective 2 flower like roses.
