In this assignment, we were asked to create a final work using the techniques we learned in class so I chose to use the plate etching and prints with watercolor mix media. I wanted to use figures to explain how and what is the placebo in my life. I was curious about this word and wanted to begin with the word to create artwork. Using watercolor and etching to present a girl and the mood behind is hard, I’m aiming to challenge and maybe use combining materials to create another version. Through the process of etching, printing, and coloring, I experimented with different etching needles that could create depth in the plate, the printing paper with various thicknesses and textures would make out some surprising effects, the watercolor technique such as wet on wet and glazing could give the printing more emotion and temperature.
