Still Movement

Class of: 2028

Major: Fashion Design BFA

Medium: Black Paper on Illustration Board

Faculty: Diana Shpungin

Prompt: With a focus on design elements, students would create an abstracted collage from cut black paper based on an object.

A table is flat but curved inside. It is a space, but maybe not. It sure is random. When transformed by abstraction, it does not move through space but through time. It almost warps. A part of me cannot move and is stuck, but it still warps and moves. That is “change.” It is still “change.” There is movement, not felt, seen, or anything, but it is there.
