Prompt: Create a poster that combines what you learned about your partner's favorite color along with your chosen quote. Mix these elements to create a graphic artwork. It should include:1. Do you have all three elements? Communication, Surprise, and Visual Pleasure What does your poster tell the viewer? How does it surprise us? How does it give pleasure? 2. Have you represented something about your partner's unique feelings about their favorite color? 3. Have you integrated your quote (or part of it) into your poster in an interesting way?

My poster is based on my partner Nathan’s two favorite shades of blue — turquoise blue and deep blue. I wanted to express a quiet and melancholic feeling. I used many visual effects, such as glitch patterns, especially on my quote, “I think I know enough of hate.” To balance the dangerous tone of the quote, I chose soft and gentle elements like flowers, Van Gogh’s Almond Blossoms, and the movie Blue Velvet, which Nathan likes. I also added other lines from the same poem to enrich the composition and show that my poster is not really about “hate,” but about deeper emotions behind it.
