Prompt: Students are expected to create a moving painting that discusses a topic that is important to them and a broader audience.

My short film discusses rising sea-levels, an increasingly alarming effect of climate change. My film is set in Vietnam which is a location that is especially affected by this issue. I researched the architecture and influences of Vietnam as well as different lighting for the different backgrounds. I chose to address climate change as it is something I am very passionate about. I think animation is a very powerful platform to initiate change and i wanted to utilize that influence to communicate an issue that desperately needs to be improved on.
