Prompt: For this project, my aim was to explore digital pattern by using Photoshop and Illustrator. Learning how to use Photoshop and Illustrator to create repetitive patterns. Researching back symbolical textiles features throughout the history to understand the developments. I started with hand on designs and transfer it to digital application. Testing different variations of patterns. Applying the patterns on many locations.

My concept is mechanical flesh. My visual inspiration is tree barks and fluid metal. I start seeking the harmony between human nature and technology. They invade each other and form a balance. I took some of my hand drawing sketches into design software to experiment various types of patterns. After I rearranged multiple times, I got a skeleton and flesh design. I use this design pattern on a tight shirt. The skeleton and flesh design matches to the human anatomy. I used high contrast and rich color to emphasize visual contrast.
