Prompt: This project offers students an opportunity to explore more about themselves. Therefore, basically, students can draw whatever makes them interested the most.

I came out with the idea to create an abstract watercolor collage. Since abstract drawings are always a style that I enjoy seeing a lot, I admire them all the time. However, when we were doing the first project for this course, in which we did a triptych for abstract drawings based on different emotions, I found out that abstract drawings are actually hard to create since they can easily be made too realistic. In other words, I found it hard to balance between abstract and realistic. The idea I intend to convey through this project is that a lot of urbanites always make others feel that they are grim, maybe because of what they had experienced, but most of the time there is a corner in their heart full of enthusiasm for something or still can warm other people, just like a cup of coffee.
