Prompt: The point of this assignment was to create a 3D piece based off of a community I identify with, using plane materials.

Throughout the years, fashion and art has become the gateway to the embracing of my sexuality and femininity. As a pansexual woman who didn’t come out until a couple years ago, expressing myself through my artistic vision and my style choices has been an extremely relieving and reassuring experience. I was never comfortable enough to embody my true being, but over the years, finding people who have had similar experiences has helped me blossom and given me a true sense of community. I find that my interest in fashion was definitely was sparked my ability to give life to my sexuality, waking up excited to put together meticulous outfits, choose matching jewelry, and doing my makeup. Visually expressing my identity and being able to represent the LGBTQ+ community through my art and style has been such an astonishing experience as I grow up, and for this piece, I have decided to showcase that through the art of fashion.
