Prompt: Creating a large cardboard hand with finger hinges based on PoP casts of our own hands.
This is a cardboard rendering of my hand enlarged by 3 times. It includes 4 different types of hinges, one kind for each of the four fingers displayed on the project.
This project was executed by creating PoP casts of our own hands, mapping them on graph sheets, using the graph sheets to create diagrams enlarged 3 times and finally plotting the enlarged diagrams, adding flaps, on cardboard. The nature of this project was fairly technical and instructional, thus my process included devising my own methods of making the project more convenient for me in a manner that didn’t compromise the product.
