Still Life Cityscape

Prompt: On your table with the following items - Select 6 objects with the following Properties: rectangle - tall, short and/or flat cylinder - tall, short and/or flat organic shape - big and small Properties - use in all Mass Volume Linear Textures - choose 3 wood metal glass stone/ceramic pattern soft hard shiny. Arrange them and photograph them from the point of view of an insect on the table. The still life should have a cityscape look.

From a photographed still life that resembles a cityscape, the silhouette of the objects in the still-life were outlined as a first rough base. From there, a more clean render, including shading of the objects, was created. A secondary render from the silhouette of the object was modified to look like a cityscape. The buildings included are the Guggenheim Museum, Mies Van der Rohe’s Seagram Building, a tree, and Termeh office building on the left. Focusing on shading with ink, shaping the curvature with a gradient of lines was demonstrated in the drawing of the Guggenheim.
