Coming up on Thursday, March 24th, from 7 pm – 8:30 pm in our student workshop series is Printmaking Off the Press, taught by Parsons faculty Wennie Huang!
Don’t have access to your own printing press? No problem! This step-by-step workshop introduces the use of the Gelli-plate and repurposed plastic from consumables for experimental prints and photo transfers made right at home using acrylic paint, a rubber brayer, and laser copies of family photos and found images from magazines. If you would like to work from home, you will need a Gelli-plate, soft rubber brayer, acrylic paint, and images to transfer, as well as any flat consumable packaging, trimmed for use, scissors, and tissue paper, Japanese rice paper, or thin printmaking paper.
