Prompt: Bridge 1 project: Partnered up in random pairs and assigned to create a wearable piece (either a piece of jewelry or accessory) that could be worn by our partners based on their preferences. Partners were chosen at random.

My partner for this piece was neither a big jewelry nor an accessories person. I chose to create a belt because I felt that its functionality was versatile in a way that she could put it to other uses. In the initial interview stage of getting to know our partners, I had found out my partner had a vast collection of pins and adorned her bag with keychains. She also told me she generally gravitated towards objects that are white. I had designed the belt in a way that could detach or attach any of the pieces that dangle off from it so that it could be customizable (like her pins or keychains). I incorporated various shapes containing both organic and sharp lines as my partner mentioned how she liked the contrast between them. My partner also mentioned how she liked asymmetrical designs, which I incorporated as well.
