Light and Shadow

Prompt: Create a 10-photo series with a cohesive thematic element

For this assignment, I wanted to create a series capturing light and shadow patterns, while also highlighting the architectural differences between New York City and South Hadley, Massachusetts. These photos are all shot at night on a tripod, creating a dramatic contrast and allowing me to capture these intricate details of reflection and geometric cast shadows. In my final display, I grouped the images by location (New York on the left and Massachusetts on the right). I then highlighted one central image from each location. They are visually linked; both capture buildings reflecting on water, which serves as a transition between the two locations.
