First Year student workshop: The Time In-Between

The Time In-Between

This movement-based workshop with Parsons faculty member Kori Shavit will focus on the Japanese concept of ma (間). The term ma can be interpreted as the time/space in between, negative time/space, or the emptiness full of possibilities. Students will physically experience this concept through breathing techniques, sound, meditation, and through movement and breaks of motion. Students need only bring some water and comfortable clothing.

Please note that there are participation limits to these on-campus workshops–Admittance to these workshops will be on a first-come, first-served basis. We will notify you whether you have a space in the workshop soon after you have signed up. Please only RSVP if you are sure you plan on attending!
