First Year student workshops are back IN-PERSON! Up first is this week’s Wire Sculpture workshop, meeting Thurs. Sept. 29 from 7 to 8:30pm in Room L 802 (2 West 13th Street).
This workshop with Parsons faculty member Roger Stevens will introduce students to the basics of working with wire as an artistic medium. Students will create suspended, free-standing, and kinetic sculptures using simple techniques and materials, and learn about the various materials and tools one can utilize in this versatile art form. Students are encouraged to bring needle-nose pliers if available, and 18 gauge annealed steel wire available at most art supply and hardware stores, or Home Depot. Roger will also have some materials and equipment to share!
