Heart Box

Class of: 2026

Major: Communication Design BFA

Medium: Wire

Faculty: Jennifer Stearns

Prompt: To create a 3D wire sculpture of any form of vessel

I used wire as my primary material to construct the intricate structure and delicate details of heart box I had owned since childhood. I emulated the tiny details of the jewelry such as the swirls, curves, and patterns with different wire techniques and thicknesses. I made the sculpture with the ability of being able to open and close, making it both functional and visually appealing. The box symbolizes a time of sentimental value, where nostalgia and childhood meet.
