Prompt: Using the Natural Dye Experiment to visualize the pollution level in different water samples in NYC, then using the results to develop an original design application of your results to create awareness about your conclusions.

I created a pH-activated colour changing bathroom mat to encourage people to take notice of the water quality being used in their household. The product is to be dyed in the natural dye extracted from red cabbage which is known for its colour changing properties when in contact with different pH levels. This will theoretically create colourful footprint markings on the mat, naturally encouraging its user’s to find an interest in discovering what is in the things we all use every day (like water).
