For my performance art piece, I decided to use myself as the subject. My intention was to express my emotions visually through lucid hand movements. Twenty-five pieces of printed paper displayed were experiences or moments that have affected me mentally and emotionally, every piece of paper taken down makes a connection to many girls’ experiences. The gestures are a significant element while the paper is the main component. Initially, these were thoughts written down on a piece of paper subconsciously and I took advantage of my emotions to create a performance.
