Prompt: This project is to create three self-portraits that show your different personas.

Piggie

This persona is my lazy version or my ‘goblin mode.’ OUP defines ‘goblin mode’ as “a type of behavior which is unapologetically self-indulgent, lazy, slovenly, or greedy.” I instead call it “Piggie”. It’s a combination of my name, Eddie, and Piggy. I wanted to be a pig in my goblin mode. As a Pig, I could think nothing and survive by only eating and sleeping, then eventually got killed without noticing me to feed someone else’s belly. When I got home from school or an outdoor activity, I would immediately turn into a Piggie.

Nijigen

Nijigen is a Japanese term that means “two-dimensional” in English. It is often used in anime, manga, and video games to represent the characters in a two-dimensional and fictional world. I watched a lot of anime and dreamed of becoming an anime character and having an incredible figure with solid abilities. I often fantasize about becoming an excellent Nijigen character, desiring to have incredible powers and save the world.

Mom Hunter

A mom hunter is a persona with courage, great personality, and always standing up for friends. It’s usually used when playing video games with my friends. The function of this persona is to protect my teammates. When our opponents start to disrespect us and talk shit to us through match dialogue, I will become a mom hunter. I will begin with defending my teammates and talking back at them, especially attacking their moms through language to do the most mental damage. The moms I talk shit to are their virtual moms who only exist on the internet and are separated from their real moms. It’s a strategy, too. The more I talk about their internet moms, the more they will get mad, causing them to make the wrong decision and lose the match.
