Prompt: Abstract study of the human figure
For this study we had a nude model in studio and were instructed to create an abstract study of the human form. I decided to use variations of the complementary colors red and green to create a high contrast image. Using acrylic paints enhanced the pop-art style of this piece, as well as adding darker red lining to push out the details in the face and body. I specifically took influence from Matisse in his use of bright color and smooth line work.
