For this project, I was inspired by the handmade cards I would receive from my younger cousins. I was fascinated by what they would draw and how “bad” but good they were. When I gave their drawings back with the plushies, they were slightly self-critical of their own work. But the imperfections were what I found most appealing and significant when translating these lines into 3-dimensional objects. In conclusion, I loved not only being able to give something meaningful but also something that is physical but captures the essence of their childhood to hold on to.
