Apologize to children campaign image
Prompt: For the first project where we created service images, I decided to create a children rights campaign image, specifically about ‘apologizing to children’.
Raising attention towards children rights issues would be one of my goals as a communication design artist. So for the service image project, I decided to create a children rights campaign image, specifically about ‘apologizing to children’. As people are surprisingly quite not familiar with the idea of children as ‘equal human beings with feelings and thoughts as same as adults’, I felt that there is a need of spreading this idea through design and image. Initially, I did some sketches on black papers and made physical cutouts. Then, I pasted it onto illustrator to do the image tracing and moved it onto photoshop to do some editing to put some typography on it. I decided to use black and white color and no additional key colors as I wanted the image to look sincere. I portrayed a child and an adult in a sitting posture to meet the child’s eye, to express the situation of ‘properly apologizing’ to children as equal beings.
