Prompt: For this assignment, I was to create a mind map on myself or a location I connect to.

The mind map is more reflective of the artist’s internal thoughts than it is of facts. It shows perceptions, conflicts, likes, and dislikes in the form of a series of branching lines and arrows. The lines are augmented with simple watercolor illustrations, including images such as a self- portrait, pictorial representations of interests, and icons showing emotions in regard to a subject. Location is also addressed, in a way that reflects the way in which places change the way people interact with the world. The intention of the piece is to show a natural flow of thought complete with honest uncertainties, experiences, and flaws.
