Space / Materiality

Prompt: The assignment was to create a self portrait wire sculpture developed from a series of contour drawings.

I chose galvanized steel to create my wire sculpture as I wanted to challenge myself by working with a less malleable material. I like the qualities of the wire and felt that the thickness gave the piece an industrial look which other materials could not replicate.
