Prompt: I was assigned to take a zoomed-in section of a drawing I had done and abstract it, then turn it into a tile.
I abstracted a drawing I had done of a statue at the Metropolitan Museum of Art and added color, sure to include contrast of colors with each other as well as colors with the natural color of the paper in the background. I wanted to include whimsical, galaxy-like designs using the overall composition of the repeated tiles.
