Prompt: Choose an artist of inspiration that is important to you (your culture, background, your artistic sensibility) and use this artist as a starting point without any photo references, and create a self-portrait. The drawing can be in a dry or wet medium.

The self-portrait is inspired by an Indian artist, Raja Ravi Varma. I started by first drawing what I saw in the mirror and adding elements that were inspired by the artist’s paintings and incorporating my own style.
