Prompt: This assignment is concerned with vernacular objects: what is common, its signifiers, the urban detritus – its things. Displayed in different forms.

This project is meant to highlight the vernacular presence of security cameras in the city, whether we’re conscious of it or not. The amount of cameras documenting the streets, stores, ATMS, etc. allows little room for any sense of anonymity or privacy from being recorded. The mere action of depicting this object, unobscured, calls attention to its ubiquity, and allowing viewers to gaze upon cameras as they gaze upon us.
