Prompt: In Time we were tasked to create a diptych one panel digital, one panel analog. With memory as an anchor point, utilize photos, shapes, lines, text, size and color to create a collaged diptych portrait(s) in InDesign. Images will be created with analog applications (drawing, collage, painting etc.) and digital (photoshop, illustrator, procreate, etc.)
For my Diptych I wanted to create something that represented me in my past present and future. It represents me having a passion and sticking to it and the struggle that comes with it. The framing of the diptych was inspired by glass windows a homage to my love for architecture. On the left I have an abstracted picture of me when I graduated High School, and behind me I have a picture of me when I was four. I chose to make the picture of me when I was little in black and white and placed behind me to show my past and me in my vibrant colors in my cap and gown. The reasoning I wanted to show a younger and older me is because I have had the dream of being an artist/architect since I was little, every decision I have made is to get me to this point, even going to an art high school and studying architecture. On the right I chose to depict the struggles of trying to get to were I want to go. Sometimes having imposter syndrome being overwhelmed and questioning my want and will to do it. The image I chose is an artwork I did for my portfolio (it was actually my Parsons challenge) I just decided to make each hand a different artistic style.
