Prompt: The objective of this assignment was to practice using the woodshop to create a necklace from wood scraps and metal connectors. The piece needed to consist of three or more wooden components.

This piece responded to the project prompt because it was made using only wire and recycled wood from the woodshop. I used several types of wire in black, pink and silver to spin into twists for the design. Then, I cut pieces of plywood into small cubes and rectangular prisms and drilled holes down the grain of the wood. Beet juice tinted the outer layer of the wood for the purple tone effect and I beaded the wooden blocks on the wire necklace in a geometric pattern.
